What’s so special about design parquet flooring????

I’ve been looking at options for upgrading the floors in our new home and came across something called “design parquetry.” The pictures look amazing, but I honestly don’t get how it works. It’s not like standard planks – seems way more complex. Is it just for big luxury homes, or can you actually get something like that customized for a normal-sized flat? I’m especially curious about how people manage to match patterns with stairs or wall cladding. Feels like a huge puzzle...
